So, it’s only a month late!!!! That is all. I have been put through the ringer by my friends who have taken their friends to the blog for a look at our Christmas card only to find it’s not there. I thought January would bring me a slower paced life, more time to work on my personal projects and also some “ME” time but the clock keeps ticking away and we keep running! Happily so, we keep going and I am so thrilled to work with so many of you! Photographing your babies, families and children has really been such a privileged, I am blessed.
Now onto my card-
Every year I hear really sweet things about our cards, our family pictures and my girls. AWWWWWWWE! Our family from out of town always tells me thank you which I think is completely sweet but my husband gives me a hard time because I was beginning to take it really seriously. Planning for our family picture was becoming a little excessive, details-weather-crabby babies-SNOW you name it my sister was suck there with us in the freezing snow capturing the perfect image for us for our Christmas card. We were leaving my in-laws and I said to brian, “we should take our family picture in front of our house this year now that our siding is done” and he replied “we should do our family picture in front of a totally random house, like a mansion!” So we laughed about how we would dress up really classy, steal some dalmatian puppies and then jump out in front of a complete strangers house in our faux fur and heels, snap a photo and peel out! We laughed and laughed…. then it came to us both. It was like one of those really good dreams you believe for hours after you wake up. Hillbilly Christmas. Yep, 180 degrees in another direction!
So yes, this is our card from this year. No, this isn’t our home. Yes, I am faux-pregnant with a cigarette. No, it is not our trailer. Yes, Brian did attempt to grow some facial hair for this which he found challenging. No, the chickens wouldn’t cooperate against my best wishes. So saddening.
I am beyond happy with my card, it’s fun to laugh and the girls thought it was crazy amounts of fun! We have plans for a fabulous spring family session that will blow you all away, it seems to be working in my favor as all of the sites are now showing thiet spring clothing lines which makes me even more excited to get my family infront of the camera again, kiss those little girls and have some more beautiful memories of us. Plans, plans, plans… but for now, this will have to do!
And here is a few of my kimbra ornaments with some photo ornaments I made of the little ones!

Last, a photography lesson for my girls gone wrong? right? We were playing around with long exposure and they were doing some dance moves with the shutter open! So cute, wish I had a video of it! Happy Hump day you all! I will be back soon with some more fabulous images from some fun sessions I have done!
